Reel Angels have recently received support from the BFI Diversity Fund (which awards funds from The National Lottery).
In which this new website has been created Reel Angels Agency, we are more than an agency, we are an organisation to redress the imbalance of film tech crew and this network is open to all women who are interested in the tech side of film.
Our primary need is to enhance our social network offering. Women in the industry have a thirst for seeking inspiration and confidence from meeting like-minded women. Both by developing a forum online and providing networking opportunities in person, we will activate the progression of women in the visual industries. This is a designed forum where women can post, build connections, share technical advice as well as give gender support to sustain and activate the community. We will offer private forums for registered members only able to view: to share advice and tips, collaborate, support each other during challenging times for example parenthood or downtime.
Our events page show our events coming up but also any relevant organiser’s can submit and share their event. Doesn’t have to be female focused as long as its industry and tech relevant.
Our noticeboard is open for submissions, will change/update regularly with the latest news and activities.
We have our own Vimeo Channel so we can create our own video content from all our events to document, to share and promote. But also for members to share their showreels, work and anything tech relevant.
By inviting relevant organisations and companies to join, we can develop and sustain a hub where we can grow our network, whilst ultimately giving our members a unified informed voice and job opportunities.
We hope this enables members to share ideas, seek advice, a friendly place to ask questions, an opportunity to connect with the more experienced professionals for guidance and inspiration.
Hope you enjoy every page and feel free to contribute!
