Pascale Neuschäfer
DOP and Camera Operator

Location: London / Capetown

Pascale is a cinematographer and camera operator, who started her career as an actor on stage and screen, before moving behind the lens and completing an MA in Cinematography (with distinction), at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she trained under Witold Stok, BSC.

In 2017 she was shortlisted for “Best Cinematography” at the Watersprite Film Festival, for her work on the short film, “Angst”, and she has since worked as the cinematographer on numerous award-winning shorts, documentaries, commercials, music videos and an international indie feature film, The Bones on Greenwich Shore. In 2014, she worked as the cinematographer on Coughing Up for Gold, a multimedia documentary project about South African miners dying of silicosis, which won the “African Media Story Challenge”.

Her work has taken her to places as varied as the Scottish border towns and the Zambian Copperbelt and she has filmed far and wide in her native South Africa. She speaks English, German, French and Afrikaans and is based both in London and Cape Town. She is an unashamed coffee snob, a dog lover and recently, a boxing acolyte.
